Everyone is talking about AI. But in oil and gas, decades of seismic, well logs and reports are still on tape and paper. ASTEC exists to fix that, starting with the foundation.
ASTEC is a data transformation and data management service for energy industries. We are not an IT company that learned the industry. ASTEC was built by a G&G team that has used this data for years: searching for it, loading it, interpreting it.
We know the pain points because we lived them, and we know how different the work feels once data is out of the tape, scanned and structured. Today we liberate data. Next we restructure it. With data that is finally in good shape, we will help put AI and machine learning to work on it.
And we are eager to see it used for what it was collected for in the first place: finding the next hydrocarbon potential.

How we work
Your tapes, accounted for at every step.
- In and out on a transmittal. Every barcode is checked on arrival, and every tape goes home signed for.
- A QC result per tape. Success, partial or unreadable, tied to each output file.
- Client data stays client data. It is never shown on this site or used in our marketing.
- Aligned with Indonesia’s oil and gas data regulations. Liberated, structured data is easier to hand over, verify and access.
